heya!
'sup?
i went and saw the deftones on the 16 at Charlotte, NC and 17 Myrtle Beach, SC of this month.. all i have to say is that shit fucking rocked! they were great..to say the least.. im not going to talk about the show on the 16th 'cause someone else already did.. the show last night was awesome..that has definitely got to be my absolute favorite concert.. the pit was killer.. Tin Fed wasn't all that great..but the deftones made up for it.. oh, Chino sang a couple of songs with Tin Fed.. He was standing off the side of the stage so that too many people couldnt see him.. the crowd was all pumped up and shit.. while they were getting the stage all set up for the deftones.. there was a pit and plenty of crowd surfers..to no music! that was preTTy kewl.. finally, what everyone had been waiting for..the deftones came out.. they opened up with lotion..and the crowd went ballistic..the whole bottom floor was a pit.. i was at the very VERY front, dead center..right in front of Chino. i was crammed up against this barrier..and this damn security guard who kept standing in front of me and whenever i would get pushed up against the barrier even more than i already was..my face would be crammed into his balls..that was not one of my memoriable moments.. people were flying everywhere..i have a black eye from where i got kicked in the face.. Chino crowd surfed numerous times..i got to pull down his boxers and grab his ass..:)..sorry, but i couldnt help it.. they had some preTTy kewl lights going around too.. one of my favorite parts of the show though, would have to have been when they were playing Headup, then right in the middle of the song, they busted out with Wicked.. that was kewl as hell.. they hardly gave any time in between songs..so it kept the crowd going..it also made it truly hard for anyone to get out of the pit.. it was sSOo hot in there.. you could even see the steam coming off of Chino.. during my own summer, 7 words, and a couple others, Chino would come down and let the crowd scream in the mic..the was preTTy chilly.. then hed start grabbing people's hands..

i cant remember what song it was after, but Chino starts screaming and he's like, "sorry guys, but i just can't do it like Phil[anselmo of PanterA]" then he said something about if Phil would've been there, there would have been weed everywhere..

they went off stage for a couple of minutes, then they came back and played their final song, Engine #9..

the show was fantastic..there are just some parts about a concert that you just can't describe..you have to be there..and for a show that was that fucking good..you definitely need to be there..

oh, at the show at Charlotte, Stef was walking around outside before the show while everyone was standing in line.. hardly anyone recognized him! i did and i went and spoke to him..i didnt want to scream because i knew that if i did there would be a million people running over me.. after that show, i waited afterwards to meet the band.. all i met was Chino, but that was FINE with me.. he signed my ticket and my poster..he is a very down to earth guy, and very kewl to just sit and talk to..

Last night i stayed and met Stef(again), but this time i got him to sign my ticket.. then, my friend and i went around back and met Chino.. we just stood there with this small group of people talking to him.. he was just as kewl as the night before.. someone told Chino that he was kewl..and Chino said, "oh, so am i kewler than Jonathan Davis?"..and he got this sMiLe on his face.. it was spiffy..

both nights rocked..period. and that's the end of my story..
