i got to the warehouse at exactly 6:00. right when i got there, i heard some people yell "chino come back!" and i asked what was going on. it turns out about 10 minutes before i got there, deftones came out to sign autographs! i was SOOOOO pissed! and when i got there, chino was just leaving :( oh well, hopefully i'll get my chance at warped!

they let us in at 8:00 and before tinfed came on, some dude came on from some california radio station and announced that the warped tour tickets for the toronto show are going on sale in 2 weeks. he announced NOFX (people yelled), the specials (some people yelled), the deftones (everyone freaked!!), and then he said "oh and rancid" and no one said anything except a few people booed here and there. then he announced tinfed were gonna take the stage.

tinfed came on at exactly 9:30 and they were really good!! they were pretty heavy but the lead singer played the keyboards a bit and made some funky sounds! the lead singer looked TONS like chino when chino had dreds! it was quite weird! he even moved around like chino but a lot less than chino does. while tinfed were on, chino, abe, and stephen were watching from the left of the stage and i had perfect view of them! chino was just bobbing his head, getting into the music but abe...! oh man, abe was drunk, you could tell! he had two beer bootles and was clinking them together, doing little dances, taking his jacket off and flinging it around, it was friggin hilarious! hehe :) the girl beside me and i had a laugh over that!! tinfed are just a new band but damn, they are good!!! i suggest you check em out if you get the chance! the crowd was really into them too! we were getting squashed up against the barrier and a crowd surfer hit me in the forehead with his friggin knee!! it hurt so friggin bad! then i heard some people say a body surfer was coming up again, so i turned around and WHAM, the dude's boot hit me RIGHT in the head and smacked my whole face so that it turned forward!!! i grabbed my face and put my head down and a security guard asked if i was ok and i was, it just stung for a bit. the warehouse holds about 3,500 people and there's no balconey, just a big room so all of them were sqaushed against us!!! i dunno what song it was tinfed played (i dunno their material) but stephen from deftones came out and played a song with them! everyone was like "GO STEPHEN!" and he smiled! :) tinfed left the stage at 10:00.

deftones came on at 10:30 and everyone FREAKED!!! including me of course :) everyone but chino came on and they immediately started "be quiet and drive (far away)" then chino came out when the vocals started and everyone went nuts! we were getting squashed SO hard against the barrier and i had some asshole's elbow in my friggin back!! everyone joined in with the "FAR!!" parts and in the middle of the song, chino came and stood on the top of the barrier (the barrier was more like a small wall so the width was wide enough that he could balance without anyone holding him) but security were holding his legs so that he wouldn't fall backwards. everyone was reaching up to grab his hands and he put the mic in some people's faces to let them sing! he was about 2 feet to the right of me. the next song was "my own summer (shove it)" which of course, everyone went absolutely psycho over!! everyone sang the "shove it, shove it, shove it" parts! it was fucking wicked!! they then played, root, around the fur, lotion, nosebleed and MX. i went nuts over lotion (it's my FAV song!!) :) and everyone sang "it's classical anyway" :) my friend and i and i were talking about getting out of the front then all of a sudden, chino dove RIGHT over us!! as he was coming back, his leg was gonna smack me in the face so i grabbed his leg. chino came and sang in front of us and i a lot and went to the FAR left a lot as well.

after MX i got out and i went to get a poster of the cover of "around the fur" then i stood near this tall post and watched the rest of the show which kicked ass!! i didn't have that great a view since i'm so short but i was happy just listening to the music :) after MX, i'm positive they played Bored. but here's the setlist, i'm pretty sure it's almost in order, maybe a few mix ups here and there:

i know they played "headup" second last and "engine no. 9" very last for sure. i was happy they played "minus blindfold" cos that's another one of my fav songs! everyone had a break for "fireal" and "mascara" since they're slow songs so the mosh stopped for that one but the mosh was CRAZY for the rest of the show!!! it was like it was at korn! chino doesn't talk a lot but before "headup" chino said "i want every fucking one of you jumping for this song!" and then he said "are you motherfuckers ready?!" before, "engine no. 9", abe, chi, and stephen did a little jam type thing while chino took a break then jumped right into engine no. 9 which kicked ass cos the whole friggin room was freaking out! then the show as over. it was fucking wicked and now i can't wait to see them at warped!
