OK. After waiting in line by myself for 2 and a half hours (none of my friends had any money at the time tix went on sale) the doors opened. I got in and opted to get a spot in the balcony. I found a seat in the center, in the front row... well, the second row, the first row was blocked off for whatever reason.

I took a seat next to some familiar looking fellows who turned out the be some of the guys from Worcester locals Eastcide. I chatted with them for a bit so that was cool.

It didn't take long for Glassjaw to take the stage. They opened with 'Pretty Lush'... that's the only Glassjaw song I'd ever heard. They got a good response from the crowd (the place was packed wall to wall. They were a fun band to watch, very energetic. The singer would constantly dance and jump around and throw up a windmill here are there so that was cool. At one point the singer stage dived and the security dude wouldn't let him back on stage... the singer dude was visibly pissed. I guess the security guy felt threatened so he relocated himself... far away from the stage. They didn't play for very long and left the stage after 7 or 8 songs.

Little side note: the place was flooded with cops... I don't know why... but it was.

There wasn't a very long time before the lights went out and Chi, Stef, Abe and Frank came out and started throwing up a bit of feedback before Chino came out and they started to play 'Be Quiet and Drive'. The crowd didn't get very rough... I think it was probably just too damn crowded. I mean, I damn near broke a sweat just sitting in the balcony.

After that number they went right into 'Damone' which was pretty cool. Chino was going off the flippin' walls throughout the whole show. 'Damone' went immediately into 'My Own Summer' which had Chino hanging himself in the crowd and letting the audience sing along.

Side note: the lights were really fucking cool.

Next Chino picked up a guitar for himself walked up to the mic and said "This song is kind of personal" and they went into 'To Have and to Hold'. Now, I like this song and everything, but I think they could've chose a better song than this one, but whatever.

Then came the first selection from 'White Pony' which was 'Change' then back to an old number with 'Bored' followed by 'Root'.

Side note: I think I may be messing up the order a little.

After the two oldies they went back to 'White Pony' with 'Feiticiera' which the crowd really seemed to like. Then came a couple numbers from 'Around the Fur' in the form of 'Mascara' and 'Around the Fur'.

Then Chino grabbed his guitar once more and announced the next song as 'Digital Bath' which was the one song I REALLY REALLY wanted to hear so that made me really happy. They followed 'Digital Bath' with 'Korea' which was the first song that got the crowd to be somewhat violent. After that came 'Knife Party' and the crowd really liked that one too. After that Chino briefly spoke to the crowd saying something to the effect of 'What do you guys wanna hear? How about 7 Words?' Then they played '7 Words' during which Chino was practically in the crowd. Also during this song some dude hopped up on stage and run around the drums and jumped on top of the bass amp. He got kicked out.

After '7 Words' they left for a few and came back with a fucking killer 2 song encore: 'Engine #9' and 'Headup'. That was one helluva ending. After 'Headup' the boys looked completely spent and they were gone.

So here's the setlist to the best of my recollection:

Be Quiet and Drive
Damone
My Own Summer
To Have and to hold
Change
Bored
Root
Fieticiera
Mascara
Around the Fur
Digital Bath
Korea
Knife Party
7 Words
----
Engine #9
Headup

Great setlist. The only criticism is they should've played a couple more from "White Pony". I mean, it's such a great fucking album. It's a real shame they left out 'Street Carp' and 'Pink Maggit'. Ah well, it was a killer killer show.

Peace.
