July 7, 2000 - Columbus, OH @ Newport Music Hall by Nick - junkee39@yahoo.com
Glassjaw played for about 25-30 minutes to a rowdy-ass
crowd in Columbus. The people out there, gave them a
nice round of applause when they left. When the
Deftones hit stage, the floor just went buck. Chino
made stage dives in songs like "Nosebleed" and "Around
the Fur". In the last song before the encore, "7
Words", Chino rewquested the wireless mic so the crowd
surfed him all the way to the back of the club where
the bar was. He got on top of the bar, right before
the "Squeal like a pig" part of the song and busted
out "Say it Ain't So". I haven't heard that in over 3
years by these guys!!! They cane back, skipped out on
playing "Fireal" and settled with "Engine #9" and
"Headup". Chi and Chino made references a couple
times that this was the best show they did on the tour
so far. So much so, that some idiot during "Headup"
jumped from the balcony all the way to the floor.
That is atleast a 30 foot drop! He hit the ground and
bounced back up remarkably. Other than that, here was
the setlist from this night:
