I arrived to the club around three in the afternoon. For those of you living in the bay area you knew (or should have known) that we wernt really suppost to even line up until five pm. Anyway about twenty people were standing outside down the sidewalk away from the main entraince to the club. Deftones tour bus was right out front along with a Ryder truck. Everyone was just talking and shit. The next thing I saw someone pointing twords the tour bus. I looked over and Chino along with Frank were just chilling outside the bus. Everyone was afraid to walk over to the bus. I said fuck it. I walked over to the tour bus and said whats up to Chino and Frank, got a hand shake out of it and then was on my happy little way. Sorry to all of those who pussied out on walking up to Chino.

Anyway, an hour later more people started showing up. The people who worked at Slim's were getting a little angry that we (the fans) were lining up so early. But fuck, it's a free show and only 500 people are getting in. Of course we're going to line up before we're suppost to. There was this fat chick yelling at almost everyone who was around. Even yelling at people across the fucking street.

Alright, so around five o clock people started to line up. The line went from the front door of the club down the sidewalk, and back down the other side walk and almost wrapped around the whole bulding. There was a ton of people, but only 500 will get in. I of course got it. So after waitinf from 3pm until 5pm and now until 7pm they finally were letting people in the club.

We get in the club and this place was so much smaller then I though. The stage was so small. It reminded me of when the deftones used to play little clubs in San Jose,Ca. It was just really smalled compaird to the other times I saw the deftones.

>From 7pm until 8pm we just waited and waited listening to shit Live 105 music. Live 105 is the radio station who but on the free show. Just a little note: I hate live 105 and don't listen to live 105. I found out about the show through a buddy. Also Live105 doen't really play deftones music anyways and I have no clue why they put on the show. But thanks for the show anyway.

So it was 8pm the openeing band came on. Papa Roach was the bands name. Never heard of'em and didn't care. They sounded like Rage wanna be's anyhow. But hey folks this is my own opinion so sorry if you like this band. After about 45mins of bordom the deftones finally came on. It was around 10pm when they started the set.

The opened with some new shit. Chino was playing guitar and singing. After the first song Chino threw the guitar into the crowed. It was amazing. He was just going crazy with that thing. Then they go into some older stuff. Stuff off the first record, it was cool. Chino was just going crazy. I'd have to say a lot more crazier then I've ever seen him. Jumping all over, stage diving left and right. At one point he was being held upside down by his legs from the bouncers. It was great. At one point durring the set Chino was all the in the back of the club singing from the top of the bar. It was great.

Everytime i've seen the deftones something happens with Chino landing on me. He secretly hates me or somrthing. (kidding) He came down by me when they were playing 7-words and I got to yell "suck" woopy. That was pretty much the show. Just amazing as always. The set lasted about one hour and 15 mins. Oh before I forget. Someone had thrown a hat on stage and Chi picked it up. He then walked over to Steph and was trying to put it on Steph but he wouldnt let Chi get that close. Chi and Steph had been playing games all night long with eatch other. Spitting and throwing shit. At one point Chi kicked Stephs guitar. All I could do was laugh.

One last note: All the chicks out there reading this. Do yourself and Chino a favore. Leave the man alone while he's on stage. You chicks like to pet him like he's some fucking animale. It's rather gross to be honest. You will sit and like "pet" his leg or ass and then go tell your girly friends about it. What the fuck is up with that?
