deftones

My sister, my friend and I arrived at the International Ballroom at like 4:00 in the afternoon. ( I don't know WHY the Back to School Tour came there....it's small and crappy ) But anyway....we got in line and sat down, luckily it was under an overhang thing, cuz it was cold and rainy out. So we waited until like 6:00, then some secuirity guards went down the line patting people down. About a half hour later, the doors opened, and my sister and friend ran up to the front row, as I went to the shirt stand and bathrooms ( I didn't wanna be up front because I had hurt my back a few days before the show, and didn't want to get it further injured ) Moving on, Taproot came on about 7:30, they were pretty good, not great. After a while, Incubus came on, but before the first song, Privilage, the barricade on the front left side fell down. At least 2 people got hurt, and one person got their finger cut on it. So Brandon had to keep telling people to step back, and then the guards put a new gate up, and Incubus came back out, and rocked. I dont remember the order of the songs, but I know they did Pardon Me last, and they did Stellar somewhere in the middle. Then after like 30 minutes or so of setting up....Deftones hit the stage. I don't know if it's that venue, or just Deftones in general ( this was my first Deftones show ) but that was the loudest concert i've been to! In the begining there were disco balls going around with really shrill, high-pitched music. Deftones were awesome! Like I said for Incubus, I don't remember the order of songs, but some of my favorites are Change, Back to School, and My Own Summer so those songs stand out clearly in my memory. I thought it was over when there was 20 minutes left....which sucked , but I could hear it from outside. Afterwards, we tried to meet them, and guards told us they weren't signing, but then Chino came out, so we all ran between the buses, and Chino signed a few people's things, including my friend, Jeff's cd cover. My sister caught a water bottle that Chi threw out, and kept the cap....lol All in all, it was an awesome show, and I can't wait to see them again.....I just wish I could have met at least Chino, or Chi!
