November 20, 1998 - Asbury Park, NJ - Convention Hall

The deftones were playin at the Convention Hall in Asbury Park the night of 11/20/98 w/ Quicksand, and Pitchshifter..they had another band play that was like spanish hardcore music but I didn't catch the name of them. The show started at about 8:00 after sound check and all, Deftones got on about 10:00 and played until 12:00. When they first came out on stage everyone rushed forward and broke the barricade so they didn't come out and start right away until they had it fixed. Chino was tellin everyone to move back, so after they fixed it...Chino was asking people what song should they do, and it ended up to be an opening with "7 Words". The moshers were kickin the shit out of each other and crowd surfers were being dropped, thrown, and tossed (which some of it was me too). Chino did a flip off of the stack of amps durin the middle of "Headup" and the crowd caught him. Here are some of the songs I remember them playing that night. They played a incredible set.
