i got there to see the 2 opening bands-snapcase and quicksand, they were actually pretty good, and had a pretty rough pit. But right before the tones took the stage, the lights went out and they started playing some really dramatic musicand everyone charged the stage and people were crowd surfing before the tones even came on, they played the dramatic big band prerecorded music for a couple minutes, then finally the tones ran out and busted out with be quiet and drive (far away), and everyone screamed extremely loud, everyone was jumpin around and smashin into each other and the tones played a few more songs, i cant remember them in order but some of em were root, lifter, birthmark, lotion, mascara and a few others. and then what happened after that almost made me cream my shorts, they played engine #9, my most favorite tones song, as i soon as i heard that song i put my self on a mission, get to chino, i busted my way through the pit till i was where a what seemed like a waill of flesh no one could move, but i busted my way through everyone, and got to chinoat first i grapped just his leg because there was a really tall guy in front of me, but chino leaned over to scream and i reached higher thani thought i could and rubbed the sacred head of chino, i almost passed out right there,i was sooooo happy to have rubbed chinos head after engine number 9 i went and sat down for a while away from the pit because i was pooped. i sat out duringi think it was mascara and then went back in because they then played headup, my other fave tones song. and in the end i found a fitted ny yankees hat on the ground, i dont like baseball, but its memerobilia. I would have to say it was one of the greateset experiences of my life. the tones played one fulll ass set, and hour and a half long- 14 songs, i was very happy, and tired, it felt like 120 degrees in there and everyone had steam pouring off them.
