me and a group of my friends (who have loved the tones since adrenaline first came out) all decided to go see the deftones. for some odd reason, we went to portland, even though we live only 2 hours from seattle. i do not regret it in any way! they played at the la luna, which is a small club in downtown portland. it was the best show I have EVER seen!!! the fact that it was a club only amplified the intensity of the show! the place was packed, all sorts of portland people, and then us, who don't even live in the state *laugh*. i don't know how chi didn't die of heat exaustion; he was wearing a hooded sweatshirt (tan colored I believe) and was jumping around, and it was awesome. he was also wearing an eyepatch... the highlights of the show were Chino grabbing a Guitar and playing a song... by himself :) also, when they closed with Teething (off the crow2 soundtrack), oh god, everyone went nuts! it was AWESOME! i am not to sure of what order they played the songs, but the played root, mx, 7 words, one weak, engine #9, be quiet and drive, shove it, and then some. i saw them at the warped tour in seattle 1998, even though they played such a small set, and the heat was unnerving, it was still a very awesome experience. i hope you can summarize this and put it on your page, i noticed how many dates you did have. i have the stub in my wallet, but no access to a scanner, sorries :)
