Well, I was waiting to see Soulfly again since Ozzfest. They were going to play with Pantera after Pantera cancelled their tour last year with Kittie.
My brother, a real Pantera/Soufly fan, bought the tickets in January but the sad history is that he died in a tragic accident in February 1th. So I went to that concert, trying to remember the best feelings, and I know that my brother went there with me.
I arrived at 6:30pm or something, drank some beers and went to see nothingface. The theatre was really empty for a great band like nothingface. Then, Morbid Angel came and they did a good job, they played one song with Phil Anselmo, so the crow went nuts!!!
So, it's time for the Soulfly! I saw when the crew put the setlists, and I saw that they were going to perform the next songs:
Back To The Primitive
No Hope=No Fear
Jumpdafuckup/Bring It
Roots Bloody Roots
Tribe/Quilombo
Boom
Terrorist
No
Pain
Yeah... I was waiting to see "The Song Remains Insane" cause they didn't performed that song at Ozzfest but they didn't again :( And I was wonder that Max wasn't going to play "Eye For An Eye" or "Bleed".
So the beggining of "Primitive" came and then, Max and his guys. I was really close to Max with anger kicking all the people around me. When they played "No Hope=No Fear", I was really crazy, I love that song and I gave all my energy to Soulfly, but I was really tired and I was trying to breath, so I decide to put my ass off of that place and I went to the back of the Pit... I saw an aggressive "Roots Bloody Roots" and they played the drums solo of "Quilombo" with the drummer of nothingface... awesome! And when, they played "Pain", that "Primitive" music came... it's the end of the show...
Well, I don't have more details about that show. All I want to say is that the sound wasn't great, specially during Soulfly performance, and that don't miss Soulfly, that's my 2nd time and I love to see Max and his guys.. again, I hope that next time Max plays "The song Remains Insane", maybe in his own tour...
Finally,
